The Eldorado Lady Eagles softball team will face the McCamey Lady Badgers in the opening round of the State 2A Softball Playoffs. The two teams will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th at the Reagan County High School softball field in Big Lake for a single game to decide the Bi-District championship.

The Eldorado Lady Eagles will face the Miles Lady Bulldogs in the first of two play-in games to determine the seedings heading into the State 2-A Playoffs.The first pitch is slated for 4:30 p.m. at San Angelo Central High School’s softball field in San Angelo.

Eldorado High School will be represented at the Region 1-2A Track Meet in Canyon by four EHS tracksters including senior Korbin Covarrubiaz, juniors Jessica Garcia and Braxton Elias, and sophomore Logan Prater. The four will compete in 10 different events.

The Eldorado Eagles baseball team won three games in the span of a week as they tightened their grip on the District 7-2A lead and readied themselves for the State 2A Playoffs.

The Eldorado Eagles and Lady Eagles competed in the District 7-AA Meet at Ozona High School on Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Ozona. Eldorado’s JV boys placed first in the JV Division with 238 total points.

Eldorado High School hosted its annual Plateau Relays at Larry Mitchel Stadium on Thursday, March 31st, with ten schools participating. The Eldorado Lady Eagles varsity girls placed 4th at the meet with 92 points while the JV girls notched up 55 points for a 4th place finish.

The Eldorado Eagles defeated the McCamey Badgers twice last week by a combined score of 27-5 as they swept their district foe in District 5-2A play. The Eagles traveled to McCamey on Tuesday, March 22nd, where they notched up a 10-3 win. They then hosted the Badgers on Friday, March 25th and claimed a 17-2 mercy rule win in five innings of play.

The Eldorado Eagles and Lady Eagles competed at the Christoval High School Invitational Relays on Thursday, March 24th in Christoval.

EHS senior Yatzari Narvaez brought home a gold medal from the State Powerlifting Meet on Wednesday, March 16th. She lifted a total of 1,065 pounds in the 165-pound weight class and claimed the plaques for Best Bench Press, Best Deadlift and Best Overall Lifter.

Coach William Robledo’s Eagles baseball team went on the road last week and outscored the Reagan County Owls and the Van Horn Eagles by a combined score of 39-0 as they prepared to open the District 7-2A season this week against the McCamey Badgers.

A group of 12 Eldorado Eagle powerlifters competed Friday, March 11th, at the Region 5, Division 4 Texas High School Powerlifting Association Meet in Bishop.

Michael Adame pitched a shutout on Tuesday, March 8th for the Eldorado Eagles as they blanked the Sonora Broncos 13-0 in Sonora. Adame allowed eight hits while striking out five as the Eagles defense stymied Sonora’s baserunners and kept them from crossing homeplate.

Yatzari Narvaez, Nyomi Aranda, Myranda Guerrero, Alejandra Alegria, and Alexis Martinez will compete in the Texas Womens Powerlifting Meet in Corpus Christi on Wednesday, March 16th. The event will be held at the American Bank Center Exhibit Hall with competition starting at 1:30 p.m.

The Eldorado Eagles baseball team opened the season with a 4-1 loss to San Antonio Cole in the Harper Tournament on Thursday, February 24th. Manual Arispe led things off for the Eagles in the top of the first. He reached base when he was hit by a pitch and raced home when Korbin Covarrubiaz doubled to right.

Lady Eagles powerlifting Coach Christopher Castleman announced last week 15 Lady Eagles will advance to the Region 1 Division 3 Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Meet in Shamrock, Texas on March 4th.

Powerlifting Coach Christopher Castleman announced this week that 12 Eagles will advance to the Texas High School Association Region 5, Division 4, 2A Regional Powerlifting Meet in Bishop on Friday, March 11th.

The Eldorado Lady Eagles advanced to the State UIL Basketball Playoffs as the third placed team from District 7-2A, but they were the final team from the district to be eliminated from the playoffs.

There will be 15 Lady Eagles powerlifters traveling to the Regional Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Meet in Shamrock, Texas on March 3rd-4th

The Eldorado Lady Eagles basketball team defeated the Miles Lady Bulldogs 47-36 to claim the Bi-District Championship on Tuesday night, February 15th inside the Sterling City High School gymnasium.

Eldorado High School will be competing in football in District 5-2A Division II next year. The news came Wednesday, February 3rd when the University Interscholastic League announced its biennial realignment.
