Rodolfo M. “Rudy” Guajardo, 93, peacefully passed on April 9, 2024 at his home in Eldorado, TX. He was born on April 20, 1930, in Sonora, TX to Eduardo and Francisca Guajardo.

Rudy, as he was affectionately known, served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. Rudy worked for General Steel Company for over 35 years as a Welder Inspector. Rudy’s favorite pastime was traveling, hunting, spending time with family, watching western movies and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucia Guajardo, his daughter Cynthia Cerda, his sons Jorge Arispe (wife Roxanne) and Luiz Martinez (wife Kristina), his brother Nelson Guajardo (wife Noelia), his sister Estella Carvajal and brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, grand children, great-grand children, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Eduardo and Francisca Guajardo, late wife Feliz G. Guajardo, sister, Alicia Virgen and son-in-law, Ramiro Cerda Jr.

A viewing will take place from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, at Greenwood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024, in the Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth, TX. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the Veteran Affairs, Interim Hospice of San Angelo and all of his caregivers that provided love and support for Rudy and our family.
