Our beloved Harvey Robledo Martinez was called to his eternal home with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Harvey was born and raised in Eldorado, TX on March 7, 1949 to Luiz Martinez from Del Rio, TX and Raquel Robledo Martinez from Eldorado, TX. In 1983, he married the love of his life (mi amor) and best friend, Maria Martinez. Harvey worked his entire life in the oilfield as a driller and air jammer until he retired 10 years ago. He jumped at any chance his work offered him to work across the country and internationally. His profession allowed him to travel to places he had never dreamed of ever visiting. He told many stories about his travels and collected many souvenirs. He traveled to Japan, Africa, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico City, and Chile. One of his proudest work experiences was when he aided in the rescuing of 33 miners trapped for 69 days in a collapsed mine in San Jose, Chile in 2010.
Harvey is preceded in death by his father Luiz Martinez and mother Rachel Robledo Martinez, and brothers Armando and Albert Martinez, mother-in-law Rosaura Garcia, brothers-in-law Ruben, David and Javier Garcia.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maria Martinez, children Blanca Charboneau (David), Jesus Martinez (Veronica), Marisela Santellano (Adon), Marco Martinez (Mary), Robert Martinez (Sonia), Homer Martinez (Lisa), Laura Valeriano (Rene), Sammy Estrada (Kara), and Tyler Martinez (Stormi), 15 grandkids and 11 great-grandkids, sister-in-law Monica Soto (Ricky) and dear to his heart nephew, Luiz Martinez (Kristina), who all loved and adored him immensely. Also, survived by brother Hector Martinez (Connie), nephews Daniel and Michael Martinez.
He will be missed tremendously by his entire family.
