Lorina (Rene) Dale McAfee Warnock Calcote, 89 of Eldorado was surrounded by her loving family as she passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025. Rene was born October 19, 1936, in Harmon County, Oklahoma to Lee and Ida Belle Mayhew McAfee and was the second of six children.
Rene graduated from Dimmitt High School and married Charles (Charlie) Clifford Warnock on June 19, 1956, in Curry County, New Mexico. After the passing of Charlie, Rene attended cosmetology school and became a licensed beautician. And yes……it is true….as the owner of a beauty shop, Rene knew everything her children did before they did it!
On December 3,1974, Rene married Jon Gilbert Calcote in Schleicher County, Texas, and suddenly there was family of five that shared a lifetime of memories.
Rene is survived by her loving husband, Jon, her three children, Gary Lee Warnock, Charlene Warnock, and Susan Denise Warnock, along with seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at the Eldorado Cemetery.
