Judy was born in Fairland, Oklahoma on July 24, 1946, and passed away on March 24, 2026. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Gerald Baldwin of San Angelo and her parents, Floyd and Cleo Deaton, long time residents of Eldorado.
She is survived by three sons, Billy Cavness of San Angelo, Shane McDonald of Eldorado, and Brett Baldwin of Springfield, Missouri. Other surviving family members include sister, June Deaton Keever of Eldorado, brother Jimmy Deaton also of Eldorado and several adoring nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Eldorado High School in 1964. She spent some time as a deputy in the Tom Green County Sheriff's Department, but having had a lifelong love of music she became proficient on several musical instruments and in becoming a regular member of her brother, Jimmy's western band, "Sidewinder." She found an outlet for her talent by preforming on stage playing keyboards, drums, bass guitar, and was a popular vocalist. She also spent some time in the later years around Branson, Missouri preforming and recording a couple of albums.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m until 7:00 p.m. at Harper-Welch Funeral Home in Eldorado.
