Charles “Charlie” Rayburn Schrier was born October 6, 1942 in Iraan to Clarence Clifton Schrier and Flora Anita Charles Schrier. He passed peacefully from this life on August 23, 2025, in Boulder City, Nevada.

Charlie’s parents moved from Iraan to Odessa before settling in Balmorhea where he was raised. He played 6-man football at Balmorhea High School where he graduated in 1962. He worked as a lifeguard at Balmorhea Springs Pool, something he was very proud of.

Charlie met and married Frankie Mae Jeffrey on August 3, 1962. They had three daughters, Joan, Rebecca and Holly.

Following his military service, they settled in Eldorado where worked in the oil field as a truck driver and jack of all trades. He also owned and operated several oil field service businesses.

Charlie and his second wife, Dorothy Copeland, had one son, Scott.
In his later years, Charlie moved to Nevada where he met and married his third wife, Joy. They had 20 years together.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his second wife Dorothy and his third wife Joy.

He is survived by his first wife Frankie Schrier of Eldorado; three daughters, Joan F. Schrier Hudson of Eldorado, Rebecca L. Schrier Saldivar and husband Steve of Plainview, and Holly M. Schrier Paquette and husband Jeremy of Durango, Colorado; one son Scott R. Schrier & wife Sherri of Riverview, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jay Hudson, of San Angelo; Zachary Saldivar and wife Hannah of Big Spring, Lexi Saldivar of Plainview, Adelina Saldivar Falcon and husband Jacob of Big Spring, Xander Schrier and Max Schrier of Riverview, Florida, Steve Paquette and Julian Paquette of Durango Colorado; three great-grandchildren, Knox Saldivar, Theo Saldivar and Ilana Falcon of Big Spring; a sister, Claryce Schrier Williams Runge and husband Jim of Eldorado; a brother, Fred Schrier & wife Frances of Balmorhea; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Texas.

A military service and committal ceremony will he held at 11:20 a.m. on Oct 1st at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on October 4, 2025, at the home of Jim and Claryce Runge, 2071 CR 412, Eldorado, Texas.
