Schleicher County residents have a life expectancy of 77.7 years, ranking 31st among Texas' 254 counties, six months longer than the state average, according to data released recently by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Schleicher was tied with Lavaca and Somervell Counties.
