Gonzales Visits Eldorado as Reyes Seeks Recount

Congressional candidate Tony Gonzales claimed victory over challenger Raul Reyes during a campaign stop in Eldorado on Thursday, July 30th, even as Reyes was calling for a recount in one of the tightest primary races in the nation. The two men are vying for the Republican nomination and the right to face Democrat Gina Ortiz Jones in the race to replace retiring U.S. Representative Will Hurd.
