The Eldorado City Council voted Monday night to propose a tax rate of 51.41 cents per $100 valuation. The rate is lower than last year’ rate of 52.16 cents, but well above the effective rate of 47.61 cents. The effective rate is the rate necessary to raise the same amount of tax revenue as last year.
