The 30th Annual Shannon Harber Relays were held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Larry Mitchel Stadium. The relays are held each year in memory of a special Eldorado Elementary coach named Shannon Harber.

Seven members of the Eldorado Eagles baseball team received post-season honors this week after the final teams from District 5-2A were eliminated from the State 2A Playoffs.

The Eldorado Eagles baseball season ended Friday, May 10th on rain-slicked Cardinal Field in Hermleigh where the Warbrids lost two straight games to the Stamford Bulldogs 17-0 and 23-7.

The Area Track & Field Championships were held at Irion County ISD in Mertzon on April 10, 2019.

Twenty EHS track athletes were scheduled to compete in 26th different events at the Area Track Meet in Mertzon on Wednesday, April 10th after qualifying at the District 7-2A Meet in Christoval on April 3rd and 4th. Twelve Eagle tracksters and eight Lady Eagles advanced to the Area Meet by virtue of placing fourth or higher at the District Meet.

Jaakan Jurecek and Eric Reyes became the District 7-2A Champions in boy’s doubles tennis on Tuesday, April 2nd in Sterling City. The pair will advance to the Regional Meet in Odessa on April 17th and 18th.

You never want to peak too early and for Marisol DeLuna her powerlifting personal best came at just the right time and in exactly the right location as she claimed a gold medal at the State Powerlifting Meet on Friday, March 15th in Waco.

Emiliano “Big E” Hernandez is headed to the State Powerlifting Meet after placing second at the Regional Meet in Sundown on Friday, March 8th where 136 lifters competed.

Cheerleaders have been named at two SCISD campuses to cheer on Eagles athletes during 2019-2020 school year.

The Eldorado Lady Eagles walked away with the 2nd Place Team Plaque at the Texas High Schools Women’s Powerlifting Association Region 1 Division 3 Regional Meet in Seagraves March 1st. One hundred forty one women lifters competed from 1A to 3A schools in Region 1-Division 3.

Thirteen Lady Eagles Powerlifters have earned the right to advance to the 2019 Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association Region 1, Division 3 Regional Powerlifting Meet in Seagraves on March 1st. (See Photo on Page 1)

The Eldorado Lady Eagles softball tam won their first game of the 2019 season 16-12 on Friday, February 15th over the Lady Cranes in Crane.

Eldorado Lady Eagles powerlifters earned three individual gold medals and gold team medal at the 2019 Lake View Ironworks Invitational Powerlifting Meet on Saturday, February 16th at the Lake View High School Gym in San Angelo.

The Eldorado Eagles basketball team defeated the Christoval Cougars 41-30 on Friday, February 15th on a neutral court in Veribest to determine the #2 seed in District 7-2A as both teams head into the State 2A Playoffs this week.
