On September 3, 2021, Esther “Esthersita” Enriquez Arispe passed peacefully after a century long life here on earth and into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, September 6, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Eldorado Cemetery.

Umberto Belman Torres, age 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021. He was born in Eldorado on January 4th, 1950 to Pedro and Maria Torres.

ELDORADO – Melonie Reynolds, 65 of Eldorado, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, went to be with Our Lord Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Hunter Huff was born in Monroe, Louisiana. On May 26, 1960 to Laura and Raymond Huff. He spent his formative years with his grandparents in Bryam, Mississippi.

Jonathan “Jon Jon” Fortenberry, of San Angelo, left his parents’ embrace, embarking on an epic adventure to Heaven on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Jon Jon was born November 26, 1997, to the parents of Stanley Fortenberry and Cynthia Hurley in San Angelo.

ELDORADO – Jerry Clayburn “Clay” Burleson, 80, of Eldorado, Texas, passed into the presence of our Heavenly Father Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born February 15, 1941, in Vance, Texas, to Forace and Modell Wood Burleson and will be laid to rest in the Vance Cemetery August 9, 2021.

Bertha Johanna Sauer Lux was born July 23, 1923 in Blanco, Texas, the 10th of 12 children to Louise Baethge Sauer and Otto Sauer. In 1928 her parents, Louise and Otto Sauer, moved their family to Eldorado, Texas where Otto farmed and ranched to provide for his family. Bertha learned quickly as a young girl how to sew, garden, can fruits and vegetables, and helped her mother with her younger siblings and doing chores around the house.

Eldorado – Charles Kellogg was born November 29, 1934. He passed away June 2, 2021. He was a member of the Mertzon Highway Church of Christ in Eldorado.

Jan Davis-Miller, 76 of Mertzon Texas, passed away on March 22, 1945 – May 22, 2021. She was born on March 22, 1945 in Bryan Texas to Lum & Fuddy Davis.

Susan Margaret Buchholz passed away on Thursday May 20th at the age of 78. She was born in Roswell, New Mexico on February 9, 1943, first child of William and Katherine Tole. Now family and loved ones all mourn the loss of her convivial laugh, adventurous spirit and unique imagination. We promise to honor her memory with the warmth of well-told stories shared amongst friends.

Mary Francis (Mankin) Andrews, 94, of San Angelo went to be with her heavenly father on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

Gerald (Jerry) Shugart was born in Eldorado, TX on Nov. 6, 1946 and died of a lengthy illness in San Louis Potosi, Mexico on April 21, 2021.

Roger Keith Nolen, son of Robert Nolen and Viola Ruth Woodward, left this world on April 4, 2021, to be with his loving wife Mary. He died peacefully with his daughter by his side at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.

James Charles Reese went home to Jesus Christ to be with his loved ones on April 22, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Reese, and son, Tony Reese, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Jimmy (Hyme) Gilstrap passed away on April 7, 2021. He was born in San Saba, Texas on February 1, 1947. After high school, Jimmy attended Wharton College for two years on a football scholarship.

Otila Garcia Fava, 84, of Christoval, passed away April 1, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born an only child on December 29, 1936 in Eldorado, Texas, to Martin and Otila Garcia. Otila later married Esteban Fava Sr. and together they had eight children.

Forace Odell Burleson, 78, of Barksdale, Texas, passed into the presence of our Heavenly Father Sunday, March 21, 2021. Many knew him as ‘Tike,’ but family affectionately called him ‘Tiger’ and sometimes ‘Redbird.’ He had a huge heart for people, especially children, and he never met a stranger.

Mettie ‘Fae’ Davis Conner was born on the Davis family farm in Eldorado, Texas on October 12, 1935 to Emma (Birck) Davis and James Walton (“Buck”) Davis, Sr., the 4th of four children. She passed away on February 17th from a brief serious illness.
