Mike (Miguel) Belman, 80, went to meet his Savior on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Mike was born in Eldorado, Texas on May 8, 1936 to Martin and Prudencia Belman.
Rosary service was 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Eldorado, Texas with burial following in Eldorado Cemetery.
Mike was preceded in death by his loving parents and sister Emma Gonzales. Survivors include his children: Jane Belman-Brooks, Rosa Belman and Rudy Franco, Nancy B. Sanchez, Demetrio R. Belman, Julie B. Garcia and husband Jesus, Josie Belman and Ricky Luna, and Mike Belman, Jr.; 29 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. We will all miss Dad so much.
He is also survived by three brothers: Hisidoro Belman, Demetrio Belman, and Martin Belman, Jr.; four sisters: Mary Torres, Lydia Guerrero, Linda B. Escobar, and Josie Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
Mike was a loving father, a very hard worker, and the bravest person ever. Even though he was sick, he never showed his family he was in pain because he did not want us to worry. He always had a smile on his face when his family went to visit him.
He believed in God because he never failed to tell all those around him how Jesus had touched his life. Mike will be missed by all those who knew him, especially his loved ones. The only comfort we have is in knowing he is in God’s hands.
The family would like to thank Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Hospice of San Angelo, and Dr. Chang for all they did for him, and especially for the love and support they showed him.
