Our beloved “Pop” and “Gampa” passed away on May 15, 2016 in San Angelo, TX. He was born on June 15, 1963 in Rifle, CO and grew up in Canadian, TX. He married Jackie Stagner on Jan 1, 1984 then moved to New Mexico in 1986 to raise a family. In 2006, Mike and Jackie relocated to San Angelo, TX to be closer to family.
He became an avid hunter and fisherman all over his beloved New Mexico mountains. Mike played as hard as he worked. He deeply loved and adored his three granddaughters and his dog, “Pinky.” All those who knew him had a deep appreciation and respect for his hard work and kindness.
Mike is survived by his son, Jacob, and his wife, Levona, and their three daughters, Jozee, Lilija, and Ryelee of Eldorado, TX, along with his sisters Frances Galloway of Leads, AL, Ralph and Paula Macias of Perryton, TX, Jiaro and Lisa Meir of Aurora, CO, Stan and Alice Bentley of Canadian, TX, Harvey and Ginger Moon of Washington state and a brother, David and Shelia Swindle of Licking, MO plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great uncles and aunts.
He was preceded in death by his father James Paul Swindle, mother Mary Frances Nalley Swindle, and sister Pamela Kay Swindle Mier all of Canadian, TX.
