Hersel Leroy “Cotton” Stonehocker died Saturday, January 12, 2019. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 15th at Eldorado Cemetery with Chaplain Mike McCravy officiating.

He was born October 2, 1928 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Otto Roy and Oleta Marie Pimberton Stonehocker.

He married Mabel Parrant on February 13, 1976 in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico.

He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a diesel mechanic for Halliburton for 34 years. He was a member of the Christoval Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

He is survived by a son, Daryl Glen Stonehocker, and a daughter, Linda Drane, both of Oklahoma; a stepson, Roy Hawkins of San Angelo; and grandsons Nathan and Zachary Drane of Oklahoma. He is also survived by two sisters, Dessie Marie Rather and Clyla May Sumrall, both of Kansas.

Funeral service was under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home of San Angelo.
