Andy Guzman Mejia, 35, of Eldorado, Texas passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was born on November 16, 1987, to Daniel Mejia and Veronica Guzman Martinez.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Casandra De La Garza, his daughter, Mia De La Garza Mejia, his daughter, Briella De La Garza Mejia, his daughter, Andi Mejia, his father, Daniel Barajas Mejia Jr., his brother, Jonathan Mejia, his sister, Evalyn Mejia, his mother, Veronica Garvin, his stepfather, Doug Garvin, his first love, his Wela, Estela Guzman, his Welo, Jesus “Sugar Bear” Guzman, his Pops, Daniel “Sharp” Mejia Sr., his Grandmother, Erminia Barajas Mejia, his nephew, Michael Boehm AKA Trey, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born and raised in Eldorado, Texas, Andy graduated from Eldorado High School in 2006. He, then, began his career in the wind turbine industry as a Collection Foreman. His job started in his home state of Texas but took him to New York, Washington, North Dakota and Oklahoma. Along the way, Andy made many friends that became his family. Andy’s most loved “job” was being a husband and father to his girls. He could often be found with the girls at the softball fields, dance recitals, taking selfies at restaurants, getting his nails painted or dancing in the living room. Andy only had a few short years with his daughters, but he made sure to make the best of that special time. They were loved immensely by their Daddy.
Andy was known for his kind heart and infectious smile. He loved God, his family, his friends and the Dallas Cowboys.
Memorial Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Eldorado, 901 W. Gillis Ave, Eldorado, Texas on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM
