The Texas Justice Court Training Center would like to recognize the 155 Justices of the Peace who completed the mandated 20-hours of judicial education required of all Justices of the Peace on April 15 - April 18, 2018 in Rockwall, TX. Fort McKavett State Historic Site will come to life on May 4 & 5, 2018, as living historians from around the state gather to portray life as it would have been at the fort in the 1800s.

Susie Ricthers of Eldorado is planning another “Bear Run” to Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth where the Prayer Bear Minisitry has been distributing stuffed bears for more than 20 years to children who are admitted for an overnight stay.

This story took place in the spring of 1996. I was working for the Ocotillo Cattle Company and camped up under the Cartright Rim in lower Presidio County. This was high desert country with a three-room shack to live in and an old falling down barn for horse feed, tools, and my saddle. It was a miserable place to live, but that’s where the job called for at the time.

The Texas High School Rodeo Region 2 Finals were held April 13-15 in Midland where Eldorado’s Jack Griffin and Logan Moore won buckles and earned a trip to the 2018 Texas High School Rodeo Finals.

Maria Lozano called 9-1-1 for help after her 2010 Lincoln left the roadway, slid down an embankment and came to rest in a clump of trees on Wednesday, April 11th. Emergency personnel responded almost immediately but could not locate the car.

This story is different in that it is nearly a recount of some, most, of the things I have done in the four score and six years.I tried to cover most of the happenings but some were left out on purpose as they would embarrass someone or were illegal.
