Sharon Rister, age 73, left this life on December 11, 2020 in Abilene. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Midway Cemetery, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Sharon was born August 4, 1947 in Truby, Texas to Ina and William Langly Grissom. She attended Noodle School. She married the love of her life John Rister on March 20, 1964 in Anson. If you knew Sharon, you know she never minded a good dancing party, taking a road trip to the casinos, and hanging out in her gown while visiting with family. She loved watching her grands and great-grands playing sports.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jimmie Grissom, Darrel Grissom, Merrel Grissom; one sister, Jody Kirk, and one son, Langly Rister.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, John Rister of Hamlin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie (Dana) Rister and Danny (Tracy) Rister; one daughter and son-in-law, Chanelle (Mitch) Hall; a sister, Dora Mankin of Eldorado; a brother, Randall Grissom; sixteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren.
