Porfirio “Pilo” Arispe

It is with great sadness that the family of Porfirio “Pilo” Aguilar Arispe announce his passing on October 3, 2018 at 10:10 pm.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother and survived by his wife Geneva Arispe; children Diana Quiz, Felix Arispe, Penny Lozano, Porfirio Arispe Jr, Sylvia Rodriguez; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildern; and his brother Juan Arispe.

Pilo was born on Feb 26, 1937 to Felis Arispe and Paula Aguilar Arispe in Eldorado TX. He had one brother Juan Arispe.

He grew up in Eldorado and at the age of 17 married his wonderful wife Geneva of 62 years on Sept. of 1956.

He was known to be a hard worker and spend most of his career working in the oilfield and retired from the City of Eldorado.

He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and loved each and every one of them unconditionally. He also raised two as his own. He also adored his nieces and nephews very much.

Pilo was known to many for his humorous character and kind disposition. He was very warm and giving to everyone who crossed his path. Pilo’s passion was fishing. He also loved to garden, was an excellent cook and enjoyed rebuilding cars and small engines. Pilo loved all animals but was very fond of birds especially parrots. He will forever be remembered and missed.

His service was held at the Agape Assembly of God at 10 a.m. on October 5, 2018. The service was directed by Pastor Michael Crenshaw and Love’s Funeral Home.

The Arispe family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Kindred Hospice and Love Funeral Home for their exceptional care and service. We also want to thank all who helped with the funeral service, meals, flowers and emotional support during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are truly grateful.
