Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue designated 14 Texas counties as primary natural disaster areas. Producers in Andrews, Brewster, Collingsworth, Culberson, Hall, Hemphill, Hockley, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, Loving, Presidio, Reeves, Sutton and Ward counties who suffered losses due to recent drought may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans. Producers in the contiguous counties, including Schleicher County, are also eligible to apply for emergency loans:
