I met Crockett Keller years ago when he had a place south of Mason that served food and entertainment. He reminded me a little bit of the cartoon character Yosemite Sam. Although Crockett didn’t have a bushy red mustache, he did wear a hat with an 8-inch brim and a six shooter before it was legal to openly carry.
