Charlie Mac Griffin and Paige Williams competed in the Texas Junior High Rodeo Association Regional Finals in Sweetwater this past weekend. They are both sixth graders at Eldorado Middle School.

Griffin competed in the Boys Breakaway Roping and the Ribbon Roping. He earned a spot to advance in both events to compete in the State Finals which will be held in Gonzales, Texas on May 23-29.

Williams competed in Barrels, Pole Bending, Girls Breakaway Roping and Ribbon Roping. She, too, earned a spot to advance in all four of her events to the State Finals Rodeo in Gonzales.

The cousins will be representing Region II of Texas and will be competing against cowboys and cowgirls from all 10 regions across Texas.
Charlie Mac is the son of Cy and Kim Griffin. Paige is the daughter of Chad and Cindi Williams.
