Last weekend EHS FCCLA members, Erika Sanchez, Jazmin Clifton and Katelyn Gamez competed at the state FCCLA conference in Dallas, TX. There were over 4,500 students who attended this year! Erika Sanchez placed first in her category with a Spotlight Project focusing on the Student Body and brought home a state title!

Katelyn took an FCSA (family consumer science assessment) test and brought home a silver medal! All three ladies have worked hard this year and I am proud of all the effort they put into their projects!

FCCLA would like to wish Erika Sanchez good luck continuing her education as she will be graduating this year and was glad to have her as a member and chapter officer!

Katelyn Gamez and Jazmin Clifton are already planning what they want to compete in next year!

As an advisor my goal next year is to continue to encourage more students to compete and advance to nationals. This year we have grown our chapter membership from 18 members to 37 members and want to continue growing as a chapter and educating others on what a great experience FCCLA is!

Thanks so much to our faculty, administration and community for the continuous support throughout FCCLA’s journey!
