Seven members of the Eldorado Lady Eagles softball team received post-season honors this week after the final teams from District 5-2A were eliminated from the State 2A Playoffs.

Christine Lindsey, a senior, received 1st Team All-District honors as a center fielder. She scored 23 runs for the Lady Eagles while driving in 11 others with a .380 batting average.

Jackie Covarrubiaz, a junior, was named to the 1st Team squad at 3rd base. She hit for a .571 average while scoring 16 runs and driving in 18.

Dasani Rios, a freshman, was chosen as the 1st Team short stop. She tallied 19 runs on the season with 17 RBIs and a .490 batting average.

Jadyn Martinez, a sophomore, received 2nd Team honors as pitcher and at 1st base. She scored 14 runs and drove in 12 more while carrying a .422 batting average.

Yatzari Narvaez, a freshman, was chosen as the 2nd Team catcher. She scored 14 runs with 10 RBIs with a .463 batting average.

Jocelyn Massey was named to the 2nd Team as a pitcher and at 2nd base. She counted for 16 runs and 10 RBIs on the season while hitting for a .444 average.

Regina Alvizo, a senior, was named to the Honorable Mention team at left field. She scored 13 runs for the Lady Eagles while driving in 11 more with a .269 batting average on the season.

The Lady Eagles were coached this year by Abby Ramos. The team finished with a 4-4 record in district play and advanced to the playoffs as the 4th place team from District 5-2A. Only two members of the team will graduate this year.
