Early voting in the 2020 General Election begins in Texas on Tuesday, October 13th and continues through Friday, October 30th.

Here in Schleicher County, early voting will be conducted in the County Clerk’s office on the first floor of the courthouse. The hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each weekday with the office closing for lunch from 12 noon until 1 p.m.

General Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020, with local precincts being combined into two polling places. Precincts 1 & 2 will vote in the Election Room at the Schleicher County Memorial Building, located at 1 South Cottonwood Street in Eldorado. Precincts 3 & 4 will vote in Room A of the Headstart Building at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, located at 826 North Divide in Eldorado.

Federal offices including President of the United States, U.S. Senator and U.S. Representative-District 23 will be on the ballot. State offices will be decided too, including Railroad Commissioner, State Senator and State Representative - District 53.

There are no contested races at the county level, but unopposed candidates for Sheriff, County Attorney, Tax Assessor-Collector and County Commissioner will be on the ballot.
