Schleicher County ISD wrapped up its search for a new athletic director and head football coach last week with the hiring of Chad Tutle. While he has been an assistant coach for many years, this will be his first time to helm a program.

Tutle comes to Eldorado from Coahoma where he served as an assistant coach. Prior to that, Tutle served two years at Winters, four years in Iraan and nine years in Sonora.

Eldorado is a good fit for the Tutle family since they are accustomed to small town life. Chad, himself the son of a coach, is a graduate of Rotan High School and Angelo State University. Kindra Tutle is a Robert Lee native.

The Tutles have two children, a daughter, Landrie (7), and a son, Parker (5).

Kindra Tutle will be teaching on the Eldorado Elementary campus in the fall.

Speaking of the fall, Coach Tutle will lead the 2022-23 athletic program, beginning with the 2022 edition of The Eldorado Eagles football team where he looks to carry on the team’s winning ways. The Warbirds have advanced to the State 2A playoffs for the past four years. The team made its deepest ever playoff run in 2021 when they reached the Regional semifinal game before falling to Falls City.

Tutle says that his is keenly aware of the athletic talent at Eldorado schools.

“I have seen them in action through the years and know that Eldorado has good kids who want to play hard and win,” he said. “I’m looking forward to moving to Eldorado and getting to know everyone personally.”
