Miles 6 – Eldorado 17

The Eldorado Lady Eagles claimed a 17-6 win Tuesday, March 9th, over the Miles Lady Bulldogs at Eagle Field. Maryssa Guerrero belted two doubles and a triple in the game. She also stole a base, scored a run and drove two more across the plate.

The Lady Eagles tallied 34 stolen bases in the contest. Logan Prater led the way with six steals followed by Jocelyn Massey and Dasani Rios with five stolen bases each. Robbie Martinez and Kali Proffitt stealing four bags apiece.

Guerrero went the distance in the pitcher’s circle, striking out three while allowing six runs on 11 hits and walking three.

Miles scored a run in the top of the first then shut down the Lady Eagles in the bottom of the stanza. That would be the only time the Lady Bulldogs led in the game as Eldorado roared back to score five runs in the bottom of the second, six in the third, one in the fourth and five more in the firth inning.

Prater, Guerrero and Jadyn Martinez each notched up three hits in the game.

Eldorado 15 – Menard 2

The Eldorado Lady Eagles traveled to Menard on Friday, March 12, and returned home with a 15-12 victory.

Kali Proffitt hit for a single, a double, and a triple, batted in three runs and scored another in Eldorado’s lopsided win.

Jocelyn Massey got the start for Eldorado and no hit the Menard girls, striking out four through three innings in the pitcher’s circle.

Massey also had a big game at the plate and on the base paths. She belted a single, a double and a triple, scored four runs and drove in another. Massey also stole three bases to lead the Lady Eagles offensive charge.

The Lady Eagles tallied 21 hits in the game while stealing 18 bases.

Yatzari Narvaez stole four bases while Dasani Rios and Logan Prater each stole three bags.

Christoval 0 – Eldorado 15

Maryssa Guerrero pitched a no-hitter on Tuesday, March 16th as the Eldorado Lady Eagles defeated the Christoval Lady Cougars 15-0. She also hit a single, a double and scored a run, scored a run in the game.

Logan Prater stole home plate and hit an inside the park home run, both in the top of the first inning, to give Eldorado an 8-0 lead after one full inning of play. She also singled in the fourth inning, scored three runs in the game and driving in three more.

Dasani Rios had a big day at the plate, as well. She belted two doubles and a triple while scoring two runs and driving four additional runs across the plate.

The Lady Eagles managed 16 hits and 10 stolen bases in the game with Robbi Martinez, Jocelyn Massey, Kali Proffitt and Dasani Rios each stealing a pair of bases.

Eldorado 19 – Santa Anna 0

Jocelyn Massey pitched three scoreless innings on Friday, March 19, 2021, as the Eldorado Lady Eagles claimed a 19-0 mercy rule win over the Lady Mountaineers in Santa Anna.

Massey allowed only two hits while walking one and striking out four

Maryssa Guerrero belted a triple and a home run, both in the first inning as the Lady Eagles batted around in the top of the opening stanza.

Eldorado led 13-0 before the Lady Mountaineers came up to bat in the first inning. Massey didn’t allow even a glimmer of hope for the Santa Anna girls as she faced only four batters in the bottom of the opening frame.

The Lady Eagles added three runs in each of the next two innings to claim the 19-0 victory.

Winters 8 – Eldorado 14

The Eldorado Lady Eagles defeated the Winters Lady Blizzards 14-8 on Tuesday, March 23rd on the strength of a seven-run rally in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Maryssa Guerrero went the distance in the pitcher’s circle, allowing eight runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven.

The Lady Eagles took an early 2-0 lead when Jocelyn Massey doubled to drive home Logan Prater and Yatzari Narvaez.

Eldorado added five runs in the bottom of the third when Prater, Dasani Rios, Kali Proffitt, Robbi Martinez and Heidi Estrada each plated a run, giving the Lady Eagles a 7-0 lead.

The Lady Blizzards scored a run in the top of the fourth then took an 8-7 lead behind a seven-run surge in the top of the sixth

The Lady Eagles promptly answered with seven runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth. Kali Proffitt tripled to bring home the go ahead runs as Eldorado took a 14-8 lead in the stanza.

Narvaez hit for two doubles and a single and scored a pair of runs for the Lady Eagles. Prater belted two doubles and a triple, scored two runs and drove in three more.

Proffitt scored two runs and drove in three.

The win gives the Lady Eagles a 9-4 record on the season a 5-1 record in district play. The girls will next face the Menard Lady Yellowjackets who come to Eldorado on Tuesday, March 30th.
