A recent spike in the deaths of animals in Sutton County caused by anthrax has local ranchers and livestock producers on edge. As of July 16, anthrax is responsible for the deaths of animals on five separate properties in southwest Sutton County, according to a Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) media release.
