The number of active COVID-cases in Schleicher County fell to four this week. That’s down from 41 one month earlier.

Only two positive tests were reported this week at Schleicher County Medical Center, a man and a woman, both in their 30s.

The San Angelo Health Department attributed no positive tests to Schleicher County residents this week.

The dramatic decline is being seen across Texas. Closer to home, Tom Green County’s active case total declined from 1,049 to 725 this week.

Active case totals were also trending down in other West Texas counties including Sutton (9), Crockett (22), Edwards (4), Menard (19) and Irion (8).

A total of 38 county residents received a vaccine dose this week. That’s down from 67 the week before and 50 the week before that.
