  • EHS Names Top Grads for 2018

    Robert Austin Albin is the Valedictorian of the Eldorado High School Class of 2018, according to a statement released by the school on Monday. Albin completed his four years at EHS with a 103.3846 grade point average. Anthony Olivares is the class Salutatorian, finishing his high school career with a 101.2941 grade point average.
  • EHS Honors Top Scholars with Academic Awards

    EHS senior Anthony Olivares led the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of Eldorado High School’s 2018 Academic Awards Program, held in the high school auditorium on Monday, May 14th. EHS senior Austin Albin led the prayer and SCISD High School Principal Perry Graves welcomed the parents and family members to the program.

    Six senior Eldorado High School students were honored by the Eldorado Woman’s Club May 8 in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist church. Six seniors were CJ Covarrubiaz, Sierra Forlano, Andi Morris, Norma Hernandez, Emelie Estrada and Taylor Emmons.

    In a previous tale I told how the U.S. Border Patrol had brought a man to me to work. He was needed to testify in a federal trial and was to stay with me as a ranch hand for one year. This I agreed to and was given an I-92 ID card for Tirso Delgado. That is all repeated history.

    A group of immigrants in Dallas has formed an organization called Roots to Boots. Boris Gremont and his wife Joan immigrated to the US from South Africa in 1978 and settled in Dallas. Boris was an established, successful accountant in Johannesburg but he says every day was uncertain as to what the day might bring politically.
