Born May 19, 1927 in Evanston Illinois, Fred grew up there to the age of 11. During 1936 and 1937, his parents, Percival and Ruth Case along with sisters Henrietta and Helen moved to ranch land in Schleicher county that his father and uncle had inherited. There

he home schooled for a while and then attended school in Mertzon Texas, Eldorado High School and then Shriner Institute in Kerville.

He joined the Navy toward the end of World War II where he was a Pharmacist Mate and Hospital Corpsman. Many of his favorite stories were of his time in the Navy.

J. Lynn Williams, 59, of Eldorado passed away on Tuesday, February 25th in Community Medical Center in San Angelo.

He was born in Amarillo, Texas on Oct. 1, 1954 to Harold and Barbara Williams. He graduated from Llano High School and subsequently lived in a wide variety of places throughout Texas, upstate New York, and Canada. Among his greatest joys were cowboy life, singing, and telling stories. In his last conversations with family and friends, he assured all he was at peace with God and ready to go.

Charles Ray Pfluger, 84, of Eldorado, TX passed away February 12, 2014 at home. He was born August 8, 1929 in Eden, TX to Melvin Ray and Francis Melinda Lubke Pfluger.

Charles Ray attended elementary school through 7th grade in the little community of Liveoak, 10 miles southwest of Eden. His first two years of high school he went to Eden and then finished in Menard.

In 1949 when the Korean War began, Charles Ray was one of the first called to serve. After he got out of the service, he went to work for his uncle, Emmett Pfluger, who leased 15,000 acres of the Fort Terrett Ranch on the banks of the North Llano River in Sutton County.

Jonnie Lee Dickens Barrows Burrell passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014. She was born in Eldorado, Texas on February 9, 1933. She graduated Valedictorian of Eldorado High School and attended San Angelo College (now Angelo State University). She married John L. Barrows of Sonora in 1950. She and John shared a love for the development and growth of San Angelo. He passed away in 1981. Jonnie married Bill Burrell on April 13, 2000. They shared many good times and a love of travel.
