Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend found peace with his eternal Father on December 19, 2009 at his residence, at the age of 62.
Services were held on Wednesday, December 23rd at Agape Assembly of God with Pastor Neil Miller. Burial followed at the Eldorado Cemetery officiated by Pastor Bud Arendt of The Brushy Top Cowboy Church.
Thomas was born on June 15, 1947 to Calvin and Hattie Knight in Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by son Terry D. Knight, and brothers David and Wayne Knight.
Billie Jo Jeffrey Collett, 75, rejoined her husband in heaven on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009. She was the first born daughter of Eleanor & Elder Bethel Jeffrey of Eldorado, TX. She attended nursing school in San Angelo, TX and then married her husband, David Fred Collett, November 19, 1955. She became a devoted mother and homemaker after the birth of their first child. After the death of her husband she took over the family business and upon retirement, joined the Peace Corps and spent 3 years in Africa.
Florence Marie Nixon Hinton, 92 years of age of Eldorado, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2009 with family members present.
Mrs. Hinton was born May 23, 1917, in Manitou Tillman County, Oklahoma to Robert J. Nixon and Estella “Esta” Roberts Nixon. Mrs. Hinton attended the Bailey Ranch School in Schleicher County, Texas, and graduated from San Angelo Senior High School in San Angelo, Texas, in 1936. She took a post graduate course from 1936-1937 at Eldorado High School.
Mrs. Hinton married Allen J. “Jack” Hinton on May 4, 1940, in Yuma, Arizona. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Eldorado, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother, Robert Andrew “Andy” Nixon; her sister, Pauline Nixon Franklin Tidwell; and a foster-brother, Alfred M. “Skinnie” Holmes.
SAN ANGELO — Frank D. Blair 87, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at his home in San Angelo, Texas. A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Eldorado Primitive Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Stephen Emmons.
Frank was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in Concho, Texas, to Frank and Ailie Blair. The third oldest of nine children, seven of which preceded him death, Virginia Griffin, Garland Blair, Betty Wiley, Bo Hunt, Brooks Blair, Bob Blair and Charles Blair. Frank was a very caring, loving man that lived his life as he desired. He believed that a man's word was his bond and a deal was done with a handshake. You could always talk to him and receive wisdom without criticism, he loved and is loved by his family and will be in our memories forever.
