Hope Wilson Huffman of San Angelo, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at her home, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. Graveside service were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 3, at Fairmount Cemetery with the Reverend Bill Proctor officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson's Funeral Home.

Hope was born February 5, 1961, in San Angelo, to Duncan C. O. Wilson, Jr., and Patricia Hope Wilson. She was very proud to be a 7th generation Texan and traced her roots back to Stephen F. Austin’s “Old 300” on one side and early German settlers who founded Gruene, Texas, on the other.
Hope graduated from Central High School in 1979. She graduated with a BS in Speech from the University of Texas. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Pursuing her interests in politics after graduation, she first worked for U.S. Senator John Tower,  then for Ronald Reagan’s ‘84 presidential reelection campaign. After he won, she moved to the Department of Agriculture as a political appointee. Later she worked for Karl Rove’s political consulting firm in Austin. She was also appointed as a director to the Upper Colorado River Authority in 1998.

Shine went to celebrate Easter with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 after 86 years of a long and blessed life.

Shine was born on August 18, 1922 in Schleicher County Eldorado, Texas. Her parents were Eugene Newt and Idella Neal Edmiston.

Shine is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Billy Gene and W.F. Edmiston, and her loving husband of 63 years, Rudolph Dominic Spigarelli.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses; Pamela Sue Spigarelli and Brian Laux of Christoval, Paula Ann and Tim Petty of Boerne, and Richard Wayne and Susan Spigarelli of Manor; seven grandchildren; Toya and Dion Henry, Tasha and Tommy Sangalli, Ryan Laux, Katy and Ryan Luebke, Robin and Angela Petty and Rudie Nicol and Geena Laine Spigarelli; six great-grandchildren; Brandon Segovia, Kyle Henry, Haley & Gracie Sangalli; Morgan Shine & Landon Lee Luebke.

Darlene Fae Barrow was born on November 24, 1933, the oldest child of George Allen Barrow and Exa Dee Meckel Barrow. She died on Sunday, February 22, 2009.

She was born and raised in Sonora, Texas, where she graduated from Sonora High School in 1952. On July 11, 1952, she married Jerrel Reid Hardesty at the Episcopal Church in Sonora.
The couple lived in Corpus Christi, Midland, Houston, New Jersey and Galveston. After her husband’s death, Darlene moved to her beloved ranch in Schleicher County, Texas, where she spent the remainder of her years.

ELDORADO — Jo Ann (Bearce) Sproul, 77, died Good Friday, April 10, 2009. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday April 13, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Eldorado, Texas of which she was a member. Arrangements were by Kerbow Funeral Home.

Jo Ann was born May 14, 1931 in San Angelo, Texas to W. R. (Dick) and Winnie Bearce. Jo Ann was raised on the Bearce ranch in Schleicher County. She graduated from Eldorado High School and later attended the University of Texas at Austin and Sul Ross State University where she majored in drama. On February 14, 1949 in Alpine, Texas she married the love of her life, C.R. Sproul. Jo Ann and C.R. enjoyed over 60 years of marriage together. During that time they raised three children whom she loved deeply.
