ELDORADO — Peggy Jo Grelle, age 74, with Amazing Grace went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Shannon Medical Center.
She was born in Dallas, Texas, to Frank Daniels and Gladys Daisy Daniels Faull. Peggy married the love of her life, Harold Wayne Grelle on April 2, 1953, in Ozona, Texas. The couple lived in Mesquite, Texas, while raising their four children before residing in Eldorado, Texas. Peggy was a dedicated wife, mother and Maw to her 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She loved her family and friends but most of all she loved the Lord. Her life was a testimony of God's love.
Peggy was a housewife but her life's work was to serve the Lord. She was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was a volunteer for the Eldorado Nursing Home, Meals on Wheels and many church activities. Peggy enjoyed her work at the Schleicher County Museum while quilting with friends. Peggy had a sweet spirit and was kind and loving to everyone she met always putting others before herself.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Faull; stepfather W. O. Faull; father Frank Daniels; brothers Billy, Bobby and Jimmy Daniels; sister Wanda Halley; son Terry Glenn Grelle; and granddaughter Courtney Michelle Triplett.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Harold W. Grelle; daughter Debra Kropp and husband Joe; son Michael W. Grelle and wife Shayla, and Gary D. Grelle; brothers Wilbert (Scooter) Faull and wife Cathy, and George Faull; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Shannon Medical Center ICU, Dr. Felger and Dr. Russman for their excellent care for our precious mother, and special thanks to Pastor Don Inman and many wonderful relatives and friends in the community.
The family requests in memorials be made to Community Baptist Church in Eldorado, Texas, or the American Cancer Society.Service was at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at Community Baptist Church in Eldorado with burial in Eldorado Cemetery.
