Bernell Mae Faull O’Connor went home to be with her Lord on May 23, 2012.

Bernell was born July 3rd, 1927 in Eldorado, Texas. Bernell was preceded in death by her husband Daniel O’Connor, brothers Wilbert, Howard and Arthur Faull, and a sister Margaret McGrath.

Bernell leaves behind 5 sons; Daniel, Dennis, Michael, Patrick, and Shawn O’Connor, and 2 daughters; Eileen Day and Catherine Brock as well as 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Bernell moved to Washington, DC in 1944 where she met and married Daniel O’Connor on May 3rd, 1945. While living in Washington she worked in the munitions factory during WW II. In 1947 she moved to Brandywine, Maryland, where her first four children were born.  In 1956 she and the family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1959 Bernell and family moved to California where she lived until 1970.

In 1970 Bernell and last three of her children returned to her home state and Corpus Christi, Texas were they lived for two years.  After that it was off to Austin, Texas. Finally, in 1979, after all the children had graduated from High School, she returned to her home town, Eldorado, Texas where she spent most of her remaining years in the house her father and brother built in 1948.

While living in Eldorado, Bernell was very active in her community and church. She delivered meals, volunteered at the school, and Nursing Home, and was known for her Coconut Cream Pies and Easter Eggs.

Bernell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all.
