The YFZ tower sat dormant for almost a year. However, work began anew this week as a crane was relocated to the concrete tower. Work apparently commenced during the evening hours and is still ongoing.
The tower can be seen from several locations along Schleicher County Road 300.
The YFZ amphitheater has a new addition, a band of light poles around the rim of the structure. When turned on, lights atop the array of poles shine inward, toward the center of the amphitheater.

Work began anew last week on an octagonal concrete tower at the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado. The tower features windows that spiral up and around the structure. Also, there are eight concrete buttresses supporting the bottom of the tower which seem to indicate it is meant to support great weight. Work on the tower began last year, but suddenly stopped during FLDS prophet Warren Jeffs’ child rape trial.
