Justices reject artificial insemination argument
The Texas 3rd Court of Appeals on Friday, March 16, 2012, denied an appeal brought by Allan Eugene Keate, 60, of his 2009 conviction for child rape for which he is currently serving 33 years in the Texas prison system.
A three-judge panel, consisting of Chief Justice J. Woodfin Jones and Justices Bob Pemberton and Diane Henson, dismissed all 32 points raised in the appeal, including the claim that state prosecutors failed to eliminate the possibility that Keate’s underage victim became pregnant by artificial insemination.
