Lady Eagles win Bi-District Crown

Wednesday, 05 May 2010 16:13

The Lady Eagles claimed the Bi-District Softball Championship in Crane on Saturday, May 1st, by defeating Van Horn 17-5.

The game was slated to begin at 11am but a scheduling error on the part of the Midland Softball Officials Association caused a two hour delay. The Eldorado girls didn’t seem to be bothered, however, as they scored in the top of the 1st inning when Miranda Arispe came home on an Amy Alvizo single.

But the Green Team seemed sluggish in the field and committed three fielding errors that would allow Van Horn to score a pair of runs and take a 2-1 lead after an inning of play.
