The Eldorado Eagles baseball team found the going tough in the Sonora Baseball tournament on February 24-26th. The Warbirds dropped the opening game to the Bracket Tigers 18-9. They then fell 12-5 to Sonora’s JV squad.
The Eagles faced Sonora’s JV again in the third round and fared a bit better, but still came out on the short end of a 7-6 score.
The team then travelled to Coahoma on March 3rd and 4th where they took part in the Howard County Tournament where they continued to struggle, losing to the Midland Classical Academy 7-4, and 10-0 to the Miles Bulldogs.
The road didn’t get any smoother for the Warbrids when they played Forsan in the third round and lost 12-0.
The Eagles bats came alive, however, in the fourth round of the tournament when the pounded the TLC Academy Eagles 15-1.
