Baker, Buchholz, Rubio Regional Tennis
Senior Mason Baker will represent District 1-A in Boys Singles at the Regional Tennis Meet in Levelland April 20th and 21st. Baker will be accompanied by the double’s team of Robert Buchholz/Michael Rubio who also advanced.
12 EHS tracksters advance to Regional Track
Eldorado Varsity Track Team will travel to Regional Track Meet in Levelland, May 2 and 3. Varsity Girls Team place 5th at the Area Meet held in Wink, Wednesday, April 13 and Varsity Boys Team placed 4th at the Area Meet.
Eagles linksters win District Golf Tourney
The Eldorado Boys Golf Team easily outdistanced the competition at the District Golf Tournament held Monday, April 4th in Monahans and on Monday, April 11th at the Quicksand Golf Course in San Angelo.
Lane Griffin was the 1st Place individual with a score of 165. Jaymie O’Harrow placed 2nd with a score of 169. Other scores were not available to The Success at press time.
Griffin and O’Harrow both qualified for the Regional Tournament slated April 18 & 19 at Lake Ridge Golf Course in Lubbock. Edward Hernandez will serves as the team’s alternate.
The Eldorado Golf Team is coached by Don Richters.
Eagles soar at District Track
The Lady Eagles varsity team placed 2nd at the District Track Meet on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Iraan, with a score of 106.5 points. Coaching the Lady Eagles this year is Coach Christi Collins. Top 4 places in each event will advance to Area. Abigail Ussery, Lauren Rubio, Allyson Jarrett, Brianda Torres, Abby Fuentes, Amy Alvizo, Miranda Arispe, Marissa Gonzales, are advancing to Area in Wink, Wednesday, April 13.
MeGee Breaks Own Pogo Stick Record
Eldorado 3rd grader Benjamin McGee shattered his own record with 5,567 jumps on his pogo stick. He made the jumps without stopping in an hour’s time to win the 3rd grade division as certain field events connected with the Shannon Harber Relays were conducted on Friday, April 8, 2011, in the Elementary gymnasium. Benjamin, son of Joe and Diana McGee, notched up 4,100 in the contest last year as a 2nd grader.
