SAN ANGELO — Frank D. Blair 87, of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at his home in San Angelo, Texas. A memorial service was held Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Eldorado Primitive Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Stephen Emmons.
Frank was born on Sept. 11, 1922, in Concho, Texas, to Frank and Ailie Blair. The third oldest of nine children, seven of which preceded him death, Virginia Griffin, Garland Blair, Betty Wiley, Bo Hunt, Brooks Blair, Bob Blair and Charles Blair. Frank was a very caring, loving man that lived his life as he desired. He believed that a man's word was his bond and a deal was done with a handshake. You could always talk to him and receive wisdom without criticism, he loved and is loved by his family and will be in our memories forever.
A father, farmer and rancher, retiree from the City of San Angelo, he never stopped working until his health wouldn't allow him. He will be missed by all of those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Blair of San Angelo; daughters Ann Pennington of Austin and Linda Locklear of San Angelo; sons Larry Blair and wife Ellen of College Station, Lance Blair of San Angelo and Tony Blair and wife Maggie of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren; Blair Pennington; Stacy Conley and husband Mark; Cody Blair; Josh Blair and wife Ashley; Elizabeth Roberts and husband Troy; Kelly Heyer; Krystal Smith and husband Joseph; Joshua Locklear; Zachary Pyle and wife Whitney; Devin, Seth, and Ashleigh Blair. Nine great-grandchildren; Shelby, Cole, & Savannah Conley; Caleb, Daniel & Ellison Blair; Payton & Jordyn Blair; and Jasmine Smith; as well as a sister Jean Peabody.
