KNOXVILLE, TN — Dorothy Virginia Gann, 90, of South Knoxville died on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. She was a member of St. John Episcopal Cathedral.
She was raised in Eldorado, Texas where she attended Eldorado High School. She was retired from the Social Security Administration.
Preceded in death by husband John H. Gann Jr.; son, John C. Gann; a daughter-in-law, Karen Gann; brothers, Nolte Jarrett and Abe Jarrett. Survived by one living brother, William W. Jarrett and wife, Sarah of Hobbs, NM; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Rethal and husband Jon of Alexandria, VA, Helen Brown and husband Hayden and granddaughter, Ashley of Fayetteville, AR; granddaughters, Amanda Wolfe and husband Nathan of Knoxville, TN, Jessica Jones and husband John of Nashville, TN: God-child, Nicholas Voorhees and numerous nieces and nephews across the country and Bailey the beagle; special care givers, Deborah and Brian Douglas, Evelyn Hollenshed, Chloe Chitwood and Bethany Dumas; Dr. Bea Moody, DVM.
