Tommy Franklin Green of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the age of 81. He was born June 24, 1929 in San Angelo, Texas to Thomas Franklin and Ruth (Parks) Green. He was married to Jacqueline (Archer) Green. Tommy was a proud graduate of Texas A&M in 1951 with a degree in Forestry and Range management and Civil Engineering and is a member of the Texas A&M Century Club. Tommy served as a deacon at Main Street Baptist Church in Georgetown and was retired from the State of Texas. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Korean War.

 

Surviving relatives include his wife Jacqueline S. Green of Georgetown; daughter Marsha Lynne Green and husband Darrell J. Pargmann of Austin and grandchildren Benjamin Thomas Green Pargmann and Harrison Robert Green Pargmann; son Alan D. Green and wife Tanya M. Buchko Green of Austin and grandchildren Ian P. Green and Luka A. Green; step-daughters Karen Stearns of Georgetown, Kimberly Heavin of Mesquite; step-son Gregory Heavin of Charlotte N.C.; grandchildren Joel Heavin of Charlotte N.C., Kenny Heavin of Austin, Shannon Heavin of Boston, Mass., Amanda Stearns of Hockley, Tx.; and great grandson Kaiden Perkins of Hockley, Texas.

 

Tommy was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Ruth Greenhill Green on April 6, 1988.
Funeral services were held on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Main Street Baptist Church in Georgetown with Pastor Ernest Jones, Logan Cummings, and Al Cummins officiating. A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. on Friday after the service in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church, Georgetown, Texas in lieu of flowers.
