Pat “Nonnie” Murph 1944-2012

BANGS — Pat “Nonnie” Murph, age 67, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in Brownwood, after a lengthy battle with lung disease.  Funeral services were held at 10:00am, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Bangs. Burial followed in Bangs Cemetery.  Visitation was scheduled for Friday, March 2, 2012, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.

Patsy Jean (Adams) Murph was born March 8, 1944, to Clarence Howard Adams and Helen Marie (Campbell) Adams, in Odes-sa, MO.  Pat graduated from Lovington High School in 1962. She married Ronald Murph on March 24, 1962, in Lovington, NM.  Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bangs.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and with her husband Ronald, enjoyed traveling and taking part in various Shrine activities.

 

Mary Frances Cavaness 1962 - 2012

Mary Frances Cavaness (Cissi) age 49, went to be with her Lord on February 8, 2012 after a life long battle with Diabetes. Cissi was the second of four daughters born July 3, 1962 in Junction, TX to the late Dale Cavaness and Betty Cavaness O’Daniel.

Cissi was raised in Eldorado. She moved to Lovelady Texas in 1993 and was employed with the Texas Department of Corrections until disabled by Diabetes. In 1998 she was the recipient of the first successful kidney transplant in Tyler, TX. In 2003 she returned to her hometown of Eldorado.

Her greatest love was her only child, Torin. Cissi had a great sense of humor and always a smile on her face. She was a treasure to her family and all who knew her.

 

Roy Lynn Taylor 1941-2012

SONORA — Roy Lynn Taylor, 70, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at his home in Kerville. Services were held at Kerbow Funeral home in Sonora on Feb 10th. Jeff Sedberry officiated.

Roy Lynn was born in Eldorado to Clovis Velton and Ada Belle Taylor on March 29th 1941.

Roy Lynn is preceded in death by his parents and a very special Great Grand-daughter, Alyssa Collins.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Sue Taylor, sisters Patsy Kellogg and her husband Charles of Eldorado and Helen Kaye Taylor of San Angelo; brother Velton Taylor and wife Dale of San Angelo; daughter Suzanne Whitworth of Sonora, Georgia Lynn Taylor and Ginger Taylor, both of San Marcos; sons Scott Alley of Round Rock and Steve Alley of Cypress; granddaughters Lindsey Collins of Lubbock, Kaitlyn Alley of San Angelo, Gaile Taylor and Gretta Taylor of San Marcos; grandsons Dalyn Sanders, Caleab Sanders and GT Taylor of San Marcos; great-grandson Nathaniel Childress; and great-granddaughter Shay Boggs.

 

Elizabeth (Jean) Ray 1923-2012

LUBBOCK - Elizabeth (Jean) Ray went peacefully to sleep Tuesday, February 6, 2012 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.  She had been a resident at Harmonee House in Amherst, Texas the past four years.  Jean was born October 11, 1923 in Fort Worth, TX to David Mills Powell and Elizabeth Rae Powell.  She was raised in Fort Worth and San Angelo.  She graduated from the University of Texas June 24, 1945 with a Bachelor of Arts.

She married Walter Lee Ray, Sr. June 15, 1947.  They ranched in Christoval a short time and later made their home in San Angelo.  They lived in Oregon and Washington from 1963 to 1970 then returned to San Angelo but also lived in Fort Sumner, NM from 1976 to 1984 then returned to San Angelo.  She was an avid bridge player and loved to china paint, cook and entertain.  Walter preceded her in death in May 1998, her mother Elizabeth Rae Powell in 2002, brother David Powell in 2005, and sister Judy Graham in 2011.

 

Nancy Addell Terry

Nancy Addell Terry went home to be with the Lord on December 29, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her son Randy Evers and daughter Rhonda Dakin.

She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Kelsey of West Point, MS; Nancy Jenkins and Eureka Norton of San Angelo, TX; Yvonne and husband Chad Olsen of Staples, MN; son Greg Terry and daughter-in-law Isabelle Villanueva both of Eldorado, TX, and 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Nancy was born and raised in Eldorado, Texas. She loved so many people and touched so many hearts. She had a smile that completely would warm your heart. There are just so many close friends she had, that she considered family.

 

Raymond Spears, Sr.

San Angelo-Raymond Spears, Sr, 54, of Eldorado, TX passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in a local hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on October 1, 1957 to Roy and Emma J. Spears.He was married to Mary Spears of Eldorado, TX.

He leaves behind his wife, Mary, son Raymond Spears, Jr of San Angelo, son Randy and wife Kelli Spears of Miles, TX, 5 grandchildren, RJ, Khamille, and Randy II all of Miles, Jordan and Skylar of San Angelo, TX, his mother Emma J. Spears of Ft Worth, TX, sister Yvonne and husband Earnest Ewings of Ft Worth, TX, and a very special aunt, Agnus, of Ozona, TX.

He attended Eldorado High School and worked in the oilfield for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching football, and spending as much time with his grandchildren as he could.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff in ICU at Community Hospital and staff at Angelo Kidney Connection as well as all the doctors involved.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at St Luke Baptist Church in Eldorado.
